Prioritizing Your Convenience

From edging every single lens in our personal lab to advanced retinal imaging through Optos and OCT, we are always looking for new ways to serve our patients.

Digital imaging technology allows us to check for signs of eye diseases and other vision issues. Retinal imaging can benefit many patients, but especially those with high blood pressure, diabetes, or eye-related issues in their background.

Our Technology

When you visit us for an eye exam, we strive to make your experience comfortable. We offer dilated eye exams if needed, but we also aim to provide a puff-free eye exam. Our team strives to find new ways to maximize your eye care experience.

Optos California

The Optos California is a medical imaging device that allows our team to capture detailed 200-degree images that can help us diagnose and treat different eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

Optos California uses ultra-widefield imaging technology, which provides a panoramic view of both the central and peripheral retina. This view is much more comprehensive than methods that only view the central area of the retina.

The Optos California uses a non-invasive procedure that can be completed quickly. During the procedure, we’ll ask you to sit in front of the Optos scanner, and a series of flashes will be used to capture images of your retina. Our team then uses these images to check for any abnormalities or potential issues.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an advanced imaging technology that produces high-resolution, cross-sectional images of the eye. This non-invasive test uses light waves to produce detailed images of the retina, optic nerve, and other structures in the eye, allowing Dr. Yang to diagnose and monitor a wide range of eye conditions.

OCT imaging can help our team diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Virtual visual field testing is a non-invasive method for assessing peripheral and central vision. By projecting a visual field on a VR screen and measuring sensitivity to stimuli, virtual visual field testing can detect defects and scotomas that may indicate early signs of visual impairment or eye diseases.
Virtual visual field testing is crucial for the early detection and monitoring of eye diseases like glaucoma and neurological diseases affecting the visual pathway. It is also used to evaluate for ocular side effects of high risk medications such as Plaquenil.

OptiLight by Lumenis is a light-based, non-invasive treatment done in the area below the eyes to manage dry eye. The first and only IPL FDA-approved for dry eye management.

The treatment is safe, gentle, and is backed by more than 20 clinical studies.

OptiLight uses precise pulses of light to reduce the inflammation that is typically associated with dry eye disease, improve tear break-up time, and increase meibomian gland functionality.
